Pat Robertson the founder of the Christian Network Show, “The 700 Club“, sent some not so Christian advice to a caller seeking help out their cheating spouse. The caller said that she was having trouble forgiving  her cheating husband and Robertson’s response goes a little like this,  ““secret” was to “stop talking about the cheating. He cheated on you. Well, he’s a man. OK.””

According to CNN, Robertson then proceed to tell the audience that woman should focus on why she married her husband and if she is provided the needs of him and their children. He also states that men tend to wander and woman she make sure that the home is always wonderful and great and then they won’t wonder. The CBN spokesperson stated that this wasn’t Robertson’s intent and that they regret  the misunderstanding. Robertson has made many statements like this one in the pass on many different subjects ranging President Hugo Chavez and homosexuality.

I personally think that this statement wasn’t a mistake and this is how Robertson really thinks. He is an 83-year-old man and when he grew up, people I’m sure really thought like that. Since this is not his first time making outrageous comments I don’t believe his apology is truly sincere. I think the network should take Robertson off the air and put a fresh young face that is not going to make anymore mistakes. Everyone has to retire at some point of their lives and this is Robertson’s time.
