Basketball Player to Foreign Diplomat?

Retired basketball player, Dennis Rodman has been in the news lately because of his newest friendship with North Korean Dictator, Kim Jong-Un. Rodman has visited Jong-Un last this month and now is getting involved with the current scandal North Korea is wrapped up in.

North Korea has arrested U.S. citizen Kenneth Bae who had a valid tourist visit and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor, now Rodman has taken it upon himself to help to him receive his freedom.

According to CNN, Rodman is using his friendship to get Jong-Un to release Bae, by asking him via social media site, Twitter.

From a PR stance I think that Rodman reaching out to Jong-Un might actually be a good idea because he is the only person in the U.S. that he trust and might actually listen to. It does sound like a crazy idea but how else does the U.S. government going to try to get this man his freedom. Sometimes to get what you want you have to take a risk to achieve it.  With that good luck Rodman!
