Well another politician was caught putting his foot in his mouth when talking about the female population. New Hampshire state representative Peter Hansen was caught referring to females as “vaginas” in a all-house email.
Taken from Comsmopoltian’s website here is the exert from the email where Hansen refers to women as the “v” word:
There were two critical ingredients missing in the illustrious stories purporting to demonstrate the practical side of retreat. Not that retreat may not be possible mind you. What could possibly be missing from those factual tales of successful retreat in VT, Germany, and the bowels of Amsterdam? Why children and vagina’s (sic) of course. While the tales relate the actions of a solitary male the outcome cannot relate to similar situations where children and women and mothers are the potential victims.
The point of the email was to argue against the bill called HB 135 which is about a person’s right to use deadly force as defense and not be prosecuted. Hansen got a response but probably not the one he was expecting, he was called out by Rep. Chris Watrous who told him that while he carries a legislative title that he should use the langauge of one. Tuesday Hansen offered nonapology to the public saying that this was taken way out of proportion, but on Wednesday morning he came out with a full apology stating that he was being chauvinistic and that he was in the wrong!
Why is that male politicians are some of the most sexist people out there and the funny thing about this incident is that the state of New Hampshire was the first to elect an all-female delegation to congress. Can someone say irony… I’m starting to wonder why are there more women in politics, withe women in office you know they would get things done and they wouldn’t make idiot blunders like this one. Looking into the future I don’t see Hansen being re-elected anytime soon because his apology isn’t going to be embedded in the public mind, like his use of the word “vagina”.
